Palma Futsal Shines at 2024 Mundo do Futsal Gala: Spanish Club Dominates Global Awards

Spain’s Palma Futsal dominated the proceedings, securing recognition as the top club globally for the second consecutive year. Their achievements include clinching both the Champions League and Intercontinental titles in their remarkable 2023-24 campaign. With aspirations for another Final Four appearance on the horizon. The club’s excellence was further reflected in individual honors, with Antonio Vadillo receiving the best coach award for the second straight year. Brazil’s recent triumph at the World Championship in Uzbekistan has catalyzed renewed national interest in futsal, resulting in increased sponsorship and viewership. The gala celebrated this success by honoring several Brazilian talents: coach Marquinhos Xavier, goalkeeper William from Norilsk Nickel who earned the golden glove award, and Dyego Zuffo of Barcelona who received the golden ball.
