One of the biggest stories in Spanish futsal at the moment is Charuto being on the verge of signing with Balearic Islands Palma. The news was first reported by Mallorca Football and has since been picked up by several media outlets in Spain. Everyone seems to agree: the deal between the Balearic club and Magnus Futsal is nearly finalized.
Charuto, 31, has been playing for Magnus Futsal for the past six years, becoming a prolific scorer for the Brazilian side. Especially in the last two seasons. So far this season, the pivot has scored 33 goals in 39 matches. In Palma de Mallorca, he is seen as the key signing the club has been searching for this summer, following Cleber Souza’s move to Saudi Arabia.
According to reports from Spain, Palma had to speed up the negotiations, as Indonesian club BTS was also interested in signing Charuto as a replacement for Diego.
With Charuto’s transfer nearly done, Palma’s next focus is the renewal of Jesus Gordillo. Currently playing for the Spanish national team in the World Cup in Uzbekistan, Gordillo’s contract runs until June 2025. With strong interest from Spanish and European futsal clubs, discussions on his contract renewal are expected to begin as soon as the World Cup ends.
