Riot Games has addressed community concerns about the newly released 2025 VCT Capsules. By confirming that these team bundles will be customizable and subject to changes throughout the year. The announcement comes after fans expressed disappointment with what they perceived as limited modifications to the bundle design compared to the previous year’s offering.
The 2025 capsules, which feature team-branded Classic skins, have sparked debate within the Valorant community. While the bundles aim to let players show support for their favorite esports teams, some fans have criticized the decision to reuse the Classic weapon platform and what they view as simplified player card designs.
Valorant’s Head of Esports, Leo Faria, explained the design philosophy behind the annual weapon wraps. Comparing them to traditional sports jerseys that fans collect each new season. However, community members have noted that the similarity between the 2024 and 2025 designs, particularly in the weapon choice and overall aesthetic, feels like a step backward.
In response to these concerns, Riot has clarified that the current capsule designs are not final. According to in-game descriptions, the content may be updated “frequently” to reflect teams’ branding choices. This dynamic approach could allow organizations to modify their capsules throughout the year. Potentially incorporating special moments from the 2025 VCT season or reflecting organizational changes.
The bundles also include a reactive feature that tracks competitive achievements. For instance, the number of trophies won by a team will be displayed on their Classic skin, adding an evolving element to the cosmetics as teams compete in regional leagues and international events.
