Palma Futsal from the Balearic Islands and Jimbee Cartagena know who their opponents will be for a spot in the 2025 Final Four. Palma Futsal, for the third consecutive year, and Jimbee Cartagena, making their continental debut. It will host the Elite Round in Groups D and A, respectively, between November 26 and December 1. Son Moix will again host a stage of the top European tournament. With Palma Futsal, two-time UEFA Futsal Champions League winners, aiming for their third Final Four appearance after securing titles in their first two seasons. Coach Antonio Vadillo’s team remains undefeated in European competition, tallying 14 wins and five draws over 19 games and seven stages, with five of those hosted on home ground.
Group D
In Group D, Palma will face Poland’s Record Bielsko-Biała, led by Catalan coach Chus López and featuring Spaniards Daniel de la Peña and Eric Panés. The Slovak Futsal Klub Lučenec is seen as the most accessible opponent. While Kazakhstan’s Futsal Club Semey, with players Ferrao and Higuita, emerges as another strong contender alongside Palma, despite being newcomers. Palma’s coach, Antonio Vadillo, expressed satisfaction at playing at home, calling it “a plus”. But he cautioned that the group remains challenging, highlighting Semey as a serious contender for the title due to its investment and squad strength.
Jimbee Cartagena will also host the Elite Round, with the Palacio de los Deportes de Cartagena hosting this high-level European competition for the first time. Grouped in Group A, Jimbee, the current Spanish League and Super Cup champion, will face Romania’s United Galati (coached by Cacau), Italy’s Meta Catania (led by Juanra Calvo), and Latvia’s Riga. Additional venues include Lisbon, where a Portuguese derby between Sporting and Braga will occur alongside Belgian RSC Anderlecht and Plzeň. Group C is expected to be particularly competitive. In Group B, MNK Futsal Dinamo of Croatia will host in Zagreb, setting up a rivalry match against MNK Olmissum, with Kairat Almaty, led by Spanish coach Marlon Velasco, emerging as a top favorite, joined by French team Etoile Lavalloise, coached by Catalan Manolo Moya, to complete the group.
