Movistar Inter Reaffirms Commitment to Society in Emotional Event

In an emotional event hosted by Iñaki Cano, Movistar Inter reaffirmed its commitment to society. The people of Torrejón de Ardoz, and all those who have contributed to making it the most successful club in the world.

Among the distinguished guests was the President of the Senate, Pedro Rollán, who humbly admitted, “I was 5% of Movistar Inter’s arrival in Torrejón. They only thank me for ‘applauding the matches’.” The remaining 95% was credited to José Miguel Martín Criado, who was also honored at the event.

Iñaki Cano emphasized Movistar Inter’s gratitude for 20 years of partnership with Telefónica and Movistar. Celebrating in a building that, in 1929, symbolized the company and served as an advertising icon.

NOTABLE ABSENCE

One key figure, despite not attending, was Jose Maria Garcia, the ‘alma mater’ of Movistar Inter. Whose guiding principle remains ever-present: ‘win, win, succeed’—but not at any cost.

All current players were introduced one by one, with one of the four captains, Jesús Herrero, expressing his gratitude for the “breath of fresh air” upon their return from the World Cup. Coach Alberto Riquer shared his pride in leading this team.

HONORARY PLAQUES

The four captains—Jesús Herrero, Raya, Cecilio, and Jesús García—presented recognition plaques to Pedro Rollán, the Telefónica Foundation, the Telefónica Seniors Association, the Spanish and Madrid Football Federations, the La Caixa Foundation, the Cemtro Clinic and its founder Pedro Guillén, Joma, Tomás Fernández Jaén (Paralympic Team doctor), José Miguel Martín Criado, and the Torrejón City Council.

Movistar Inter also reaffirmed its dedication to the Movistar Megacraks Tour, where for over 16 years, its players have brought joy to 300,000 young people and 30,000 athletes with disabilities.
