The knockout stages are here, and every match is a fight for survival. Starting from the Round of 16, teams will battle their way to the final, aiming for the championship.
Spain, who topped Group D, enters this phase with high hopes. They’ve been fortunate to avoid a particularly challenging section of the draw, but at this stage, any opponent can pose serious difficulties.
FUTSAL WORLD CUP STANDINGS AND BRACKET
The pre-tournament draw shaped the path to the final, and all group-stage matches have now concluded. Spain, as group leaders, will face one of the top four third-placed teams, which happens to be Venezuela. Should they win, they would meet the victor of the Netherlands vs. Ukraine match.
On Spain’s side of the bracket are Brazil, Iran, and Morocco, one of which they might meet in the semi-finals. On the opposite side, a major clash between Portugal and Kazakhstan could eliminate one of the tournament favorites. Argentina and Croatia are also in contention for a quarterfinal spot.
France, currently under scrutiny after their contentious match with Iran, faces Thailand. If they advance, they’ll play the winner of Paraguay vs. Afghanistan, offering a relatively smooth path to the semi-finals.
