The International 2024 is approaching quickly, and Dota 2 fans worldwide are excited to see their favorite teams compete on the grand stage. We’ve got all the pre-tournament details as the action kicks off in September.
Commonly referred to as TI, The International is Valve’s annual event marking the end of the competitive Dota 2 season. This 13th edition will feature 16 elite teams from across the globe, either invited directly or qualified through regional tournaments.
In last year’s championship in Seattle, Team Spirit triumphed, ending Gaimin Gladiators’ undefeated streak at Valve events.
Here’s everything you need to know about TI13.
TI13 Format and Schedule
The International 13 will take place from September 4 to September 15, 2024. The group stage will run from September 4-5, followed by the playoffs from September 6-10. After a short break, the finals will resume on September 13, culminating in the grand finale on September 15.
For the group stage, the 16 teams will be split into four groups of four, with each team playing a best-of-two series. The top two teams from each group will face the 3rd or 4th placed teams from opposing groups to determine playoff seedings.
