2025 is set to be a pivotal year for Western League of Legends, as the LCS is being disbanded to make way for two new Americas Leagues. The off-season promises to be full of drama.
Several teams won’t survive the restructuring, with South American leagues being particularly affected by consolidation. While it’s still unclear which teams will participate in the new Americas format, rumors are circulating about the future of the regions. Official announcements likely won’t come until after Worlds 2024.
However, the off-season is already underway. It’s almost certain which teams will be leaving the LCS (soon to be the North American League), and numerous roster changes have already begun.
Here’s a look at the confirmed roster changes for 2025 across the LEC, LCS, and the new Americas leagues:
LCS Teams Leaving in 2025
According to a report by Travis Gafford, supported by players and staff, both NRG and Immortals will be exiting. Immortals’ departure isn’t a shock after their years of struggling near the bottom of the LCS, but NRG’s exit comes after just a year and a half back in the league. The confirmed teams moving forward into the new pro structure are:

- Cloud9
- Dignitas
- FlyQuest
- Shopify Rebellion
- Team Liquid
There’s no concrete information yet on which teams will represent the North and South American leagues, and CBLOL and LLA teams remain uncertain as details for the South American conference are still under wraps.
