The Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) represents the pinnacle of Epic Games’ esports scene, featuring top competitive players since 2019 and offering a prize pool exceeding a million dollars each year. FNCS encompasses various regional divisions, including North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and more.
In 2024, players from around the world have been competing in regional tournaments leading up to the FNCS Global Championship. Building on the success of FNCS 2023, this year’s event returns to the United States and is considered one of the largest Fortnite tournaments since the inaugural World Cup.
Here’s what you need to know about the FNCS Global Championship 2024, including the schedule, prize pool, and participating teams.
SCHEDULE AND FORMAT
The FNCS Global Championship 2024 will take place on September 7-8, 2024, beginning at 10 am CT | 11 am ET. The tournament will feature 50 of the top duos from FNCS Majors competing for the championship trophy.
This year’s event will consist of 12 games, with six games played each day. Points will be awarded based on placement and eliminations, with points on the second day multiplied by 1.5x. The duo with the highest total after 12 matches will be crowned the FNCS 2024 Global Championship winners.
VENUE AND PRIZE POOL
The championship will be hosted at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. BLAST, the organizers of this year’s tournament, are also permitting streamers and content creators to broadcast from within the arena.
The total prize pool for the FNCS Global Championship 2024 is $2,002,000, distributed among the 50 Grand Finalists/25 duos. This is a decrease from last year’s $4 million prize pool.
