Saadhak Poised to Join KRÜ Esports: A Major Shift in Valorant’s VCT Americas

Matias ‘Saadhak’ Delipetro, the long-time captain of LOUD, is reportedly nearing the final stages of negotiations to join KRÜ Esports’ Valorant team in the VCT Americas league.

On September 6, Saadhak announced his departure from the Brazilian team via a social media video, though he did not reveal the teams he was considering for the 2025 season. LOUD confirmed on September 5 that Saadhak’s contract, which was extended to end in 2024, allows him to explore offers for the upcoming season.

Shortly after Saadhak’s announcement, Brazilian insider Bruno Povoleri reported that the Argentinian player is close to finalizing a deal with KRÜ Esports. KRÜ is reportedly the leading contender to secure Saadhak’s services, with an agreement between LOUD and KRÜ expected soon.

Despite Saadhak being able to entertain offers from various teams, LOUD retains the option to negotiate a buyout. KRÜ could potentially wait for Saadhak’s contract to expire to avoid a buyout fee, though this could risk LOUD transferring him to another team. The buyout figure has not been disclosed.

Saadhak gained prominence with LOUD, leading the team to victory at Valorant Champions 2022 and securing second place at both Masters Reykjavík and VCT LOCK//IN. However, the 2024 season saw the team’s performance dip, missing out on Masters Shanghai and Valorant Champions.

Although KRÜ Esports has not achieved the same international success as LOUD, they have consistently participated in major tournaments, including every World Championship. Saadhak’s potential move to KRÜ suggests a major roster overhaul for the organization, as he is known for his talent in scouting and developing promising players.

This development is one of the major headlines of the 2024/25 VCT offseason.
