Mateus Maia Joins Mallorca Palma Futsal: What to Expect from the Young Brazilian Talent

Mallorca Palma Futsal, a two-time European and Intercontinental champion, is in the process of revamping for the upcoming season. Their fifth addition is 21-year-old Brazilian prodigy Mateus Maia, who joins from KPRF in Russia and will stay with the team until 2028. Maia, originally from Fortaleza, is known for his exceptional talent, speed, power, and goal-scoring ability, making him one of the most exciting prospects in global futsal.

José Tirado, the general manager of Palmas, commented on the signing: “We are thrilled about bringing Maia on board. He possesses all the attributes we need. Two years ago, he was named the best young player in the world and has gained valuable experience in one of the top leagues, Russia. At just 21, he has immense potential for growth, and we anticipate he will become a key asset for Palma in the future.”

Maia’s arrival follows the departure of Moslem Oladghobad, who has moved to the Iranian club Gohar Zamin Sirjan. Maia is the fifth player signed by Mallorca Palma Futsal for the next season, joining Manuel Piqueras, David Peña, Henrique, and Machado.
