Jaén Paraíso Interior is undergoing significant changes for the upcoming season, with the yellow team officially announcing six departures and having closed four new signings. The only official signing so far is Carlos ‘Petaré’ Sanz. The Venezuelan will be joined by Brazilian Giancarlos Antoniazzi and two players from Cadiz, Alejandro Lemine and Cristian Rubio. With Mauricio’s retirement after eight years and his move to Jaén’s technical staff, along with Argentine Pablo Taborda’s transfer to Ecocity Genzano in Italy, sports director Nicolás Sabariego prioritized strengthening the defensive structure. Joao Salla, who joined in January, has earned a contract renewal, but Arnon Casemiro, another winter signing, is expected to leave.
The club completed the signing of Carlos ‘Petaré’ Sanz, who had previously been unable to join due to bureaucratic issues. Sanz, a versatile 27-year-old defender, will finally wear the yellow jersey next season. He has experience playing in Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Italy, Croatia, and Kazakhstan. Giancarlos Antoniazzi, a left-footed defender from Córdoba World Heritage Site, also joins the team’s defense. Sabariego believes these additions will provide adequate protection for the upcoming season.
Transfer Market
Pablo del Moral requested to leave Jaén despite having a year left on his contract, and the club granted his release, allowing him to return to Córdoba. Jaén had hoped to sign Power Raggiati from Noia Portus Apostoli, but he will remain at his current club. As a result, Jaén secured the signing of Alejandro Lemine (32), who comes from Real Betis after being crowned champion of the King’s Cup.
The team also announced the departure of César Velasco to ElPozo Murcia Costa Cálida and confirmed the exit of Brazilian player Nem, who has offers from Portugal. This leaves Dani Rodríguez with only one left-footed player, Dani Zurdo, on the wing. The team will prioritize finding another left-footed winger in the summer market, possibly utilizing Cristian Rubio in that position. Rubio, the fourth signing, comes from Unión África Ceutí and has an impressive scoring record.
With Espíndola and Dudu in goal, Chino, Dani Zurdo, Míchel, Renato, and the pivots Alan Brandi and Mati Rosa all under contract, Jaén Paraíso Interior maintains the core of Dani Rodríguez’s team. The four new signings provide Sabariego with flexibility in the summer market to pursue two more signings and capitalize on any additional opportunities. Particularly for a pivot, during a longer summer season due to the World Cup in Uzbekistan.
