Portugal is continuing its preparations for the Futsal World Cup. On the third day of training in Rio Maior, the team had another double training session, accompanied by remarks from the group’s spokesperson, Bernardo Paçó, on Wednesday.
The goalkeeper shared his thoughts with the Portuguese Football Federation’s (FPF) official channels. Paçó expressed his happiness and pride at being selected and reflected on the initial days of the training camp.
BERNARDO PAÇÓ’S DIRECT STATEMENTS
On being selected: “I feel very proud and very happy. I am eager to showcase my abilities and prove that I deserve a spot on this team. This call-up was very significant for my confidence, and I will do everything to justify it.”
On the initial days of the camp: “We are here to support the National Team and help all our teammates perform their best at the World Cup. Even those who may not make the final squad will still be part of our journey. Everyone matters, and we are all united for the success of the National Team.”
On individual goals: “I want to demonstrate my progress since the last training camp. I pay close attention to the coaching staff’s advice on what to improve and enhance. I focus on the simple things, as they are usually the most crucial.”
On preparation matches: “The diversity of teams we face is very important. Teams from different continents bring unique characteristics and challenges. These games will be excellent rehearsals for what we will encounter at the World Cup.”
