VALORANT Champions 2024 has officially kicked off in Seoul, serving as the pinnacle event of the season. This tournament brings together the top teams from around the world, competing for a significant prize pool of $2.25 million. This year’s competition features sixteen teams vying for the championship, notably without any previous world champions in attendance.

The tournament includes four teams from each partner league: Americas, Pacific, EMEA, and China. It begins with a group stage using the GSL format, followed by a double-elimination playoffs bracket for the top eight teams to determine the ultimate champion.

Sentinels and Gen.G are the key favorites, having won VCT 2024: Masters Madrid and VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai, respectively. Interestingly, Sentinels and Gen.G have already competed in the group stage, with Gen.G emerging victorious. Other notable contenders include Fnatic, Paper Rex, and Team Heretics, known for their top finishes in previous international tournaments.
