Noia Portus Apostoli is determined to avoid the struggles of last season. The Galician club has officially announced the signing of Rubén Lemos, known as Rubi, and confirmed that Diego Favero has also joined the team. Rubi, a Galician international, will replace Pola, while the Brazilian winger, Favero, fills the gap left by Edu Jabá. General director Javier Barreiro, who signed David Pazos last season, has once again secured a top Galician futsal talent in Rubi. Rubi brings 15 seasons of First Division experience from his time with Lobelle, Ribera Navarra, O Parrulo Ferrol, Levante, and Movistar Inter.
Diego Favero returns
Diego Favero returns to Spain after six seasons with Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty and a brief stint at Russia’s KPRF. After a disappointing season with FC Semey, which prompted significant changes in the Kazakh team. Noia Portus Apostoli persuaded Favero to come back to the First Division, where he played with Palma Futsal from 2016 to 2018. The 34-year-old left-handed winger is one of two significant signings for the coaching duo of David Palmas and Manu Cossío. These additions join the Brazilian goalkeepers Vinicius Schutt and Evandro Rafagnin, known as Peixe, defender David Montero (on loan from Movistar Inter), and the returning left-winger Álex García, who achieved promotion to the First Division with Ruben Burela Fish.
Continuing from last season are the Brazilian Attos (recovering from an Achilles tendon injury), Argentine ‘Power’ Raggiati, wingers David Pazos, Douglinhas, Altamirano, and Rufino, and pivots Adrián Rodríguez ‘Pirata’ and Matheus Preá. Despite the signings of Rubi and Favero, Noia still needs to secure a goalscorer. Departures include Henrique and Machado, who have returned to Illes Balears Palma Futsal, Argentines Nico Sarmiento and Nico Rosa (O Parrulo Ferrol), Lluc Parera (now with Cordoba World Heritage Site), and Mati Bonino, who is on loan to Melistar, coached by former Noia coach Tomás de Dios.
