Controversial Celebration by Ence Marín May Lead to Disciplinary Actions

The recent celebration by Ence Marín for maintaining their position in Primera Iberdrola has sparked controversy and could result in disciplinary actions. This follows a complaint by Viaxes Amarelle FSF to the Single Disciplinary Judge for RFEF futsal competitions. It has been confirmed that the Herculino club submitted a letter last Monda. Along with audiovisual evidence, to investigate the events that occurred last Saturday at the A Raña pavilion after their match against Ourense OnTime.

Viaxes Amarelle FS, relegated to the Second Division on the last league day, identified six players from Ence Marín’s first team in a viral video on social media posted by Diario de Pontevedra. These players were seen singing a vulgar chant: “jump, jump, jump, little kangaroo, and fuck Amarelle’s asses.” The players identified include Adriana García, Portuguese Débora Labrador, Carolina Pedreira, Ana Pinto, goalkeeper Patri Arruti, and María Estévez.

RFEF Request

In addition, the A Coruña board has requested the RFEF to forward the complaint to the Galician Football Federation to identify players from Ence Marín’s men’s team, who recently achieved promotion to the Third Division. These players allegedly participated in the offensive chant along with a group of fans known as the ‘Frente Marinense.’

Ence Marín publicly apologized last Monday for the chants. Attributing them to “a group of fans” and stating that they were “immediately” reprimanded by the Marín Futsal board. The club, led by Araceli Otero, emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the conduct they expect from their fans. Despite the clear identification of their players in the footage.

Furthermore, Relevo can confirm that the Galician Commission for the Control of Violence of the Xunta has the video and may transfer its findings to the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance in Sports of the Higher Sports Council due to the severity of the incident.

Meanwhile, Viaxes Amarelle is awaiting a response from the RFEF regarding the legal and administrative status of Ence Marín player Gi Portes. The Brazilian international, who joined in January as a crucial winter signing, has played a key role in securing their league position, prompting Viaxes Amarelle to seek information on the processing of her license by the Galician Football Federation.
