Riga FC has once again demonstrated their dominance in the Latvian championship by securing a 3-1 victory against RFS Futsal, marking another title for the team. Notably absent from the match was Ricardinho, who was not listed on the game sheet and thus not an option for Portuguese coach Tiago Polido. Polido has had an impressive season, suffering only one defeat in the 2023/2024 campaign.
The Portuguese team started the match strongly, entering halftime with a two-goal lead. Despite a strong response from the opposition, Riga FC maintained their advantage and finished with a 3-1 victory. This triumph marks their third title of the season, following their successes in the Superkauss in September and the Latvian Cup in April.
Ricardinho has played a significant role in Riga FC’s inaugural season in the Latvian league, having scored 13 goals in 15 matches. Meanwhile, Tiago Polido is also navigating his first months in Latvia, having previously coached in Kuwait.
