Anderlecht’s New Star Signing: Lucas Perin from Córdoba

Lucas Perin is set to be one of Anderlecht’s standout signings for the upcoming season. The Belgian club has finalized the acquisition of the Brazilian winger from Córdoba. Perin himself announced on Onda Cero that he’ll be departing for a foreign club after spending four seasons with the Caliphate squad.

“Córdoba feels like a second home to me. It’s tough to leave after three and a half years. I’ll miss this city,” Perin expressed, hinting at his move to Belgium with a “deal almost done.” Known for his offensive prowess and skill, Perin, who honed his talents at the renowned Brazilian club Corinthians, has opted for Anderlecht over other potential destinations, such as ElPozo Murcia and a Chinese club.

With his contract ending in June, he’s chosen to continue his career with Anderlecht, reinforcing their squad under the leadership of Luca Cragnaz. Anderlecht’s pursuit of Spanish talent mirrors their strategy from the previous season, aiming to bolster their team for the upcoming UEFA Futsal Champions League. Alongside Perin, Anderlecht is poised to welcome more talent from Spain’s First Division. Departures from Córdoba include Rafael Vilela, who is returning to Brazil to join Atlantico.

President José García Román confirmed the loss of Vilela, acknowledging his significant contributions to the club. Meanwhile, the club is focused on securing the renewal of Josan González amidst interest from various teams, both domestically and abroad. Additionally, Muhammad Ossamanmusa is likely to depart at the end of the season, with offers from Spain’s First Division and overseas. Hugo de Souza Bordim, known as Huguinho, has also left Córdoba, citing personal reasons, and is set to join a team in Sao Paulo after a loan spell with Jimbee Cartagena.
