The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) revealed on Thursday the roster of 10 players selected for the highly anticipated final of the Liga Evolución, slated for June 1st in Asunción, Paraguay, where they will face off against Argentina.
Under the guidance of coach Marquinhos Xavier, known for his preference for younger talents, the squad features two noteworthy names: Lucas Rocha and Guilhermão. Rocha, who spent the entirety of the 2023/24 season with Desportiva do Fundão and has represented Brazil in youth teams, is set to make an impact. Meanwhile, Guilhermão, who will join Benfica next season and has already earned caps with the Brazilian national team, showcased his skills with Nagoya Oceans in the previous season, netting seven goals in 14 appearances.
Having topped the North Zone in the preliminary phase, Brazil is set to clash with Argentina, winners of the South Zone, in a showdown that will determine the champion of the Liga Evolución.
