Manzanares is in the midst of a remarkable season, poised to participate in the Spanish Cup and their first-ever title playoff. The club, led by Manuel del Salto, is basking in euphoria while also planning for the future. They’ve secured the return of Humberto Ribeiro from Movistar Inter, who opted not to extend his contract, making him a free agent. Despite interest from Brazil, negotiations for Humberto’s renewal were protracted, leading Manuel del Salto to secure the player for Manzanares. Humberto will join the team on a free transfer, signing a contract until 2026.
This move marks Manzanares’s third signing for the next season. After narrowly missing out on Khalid Bouzid to Barcelona and securing Zequi from Córdoba World Heritage Site, they had previously finalized a deal with Pedro Herreros. Additionally, the extension of the coach’s contract until 2027 has solidified the project. The team has also managed to retain key players like Daniel Gabriel and Juan Emilio Cortés.
With Humberto’s return confirmed, President Manuel del Salto believes the 2024-25 season for Manzanares is taking shape. The renewal of Brazilian defender Deivão is expected soon, while several other players, including Antonio Sierra García, Antoñito, and Álvaro López del Pino, will continue with the team. A number of players, including Dani Juárez, Antonio Navarro, Pedro, Javi Alonso, and captain Raúl Campos, have existing contracts. However, Juan Rodríguez will not be continuing, leaving room for potential winter market additions.
