Palma Futsal: Conquering Europe’s Futsal Scene

IPalma Futsal successfully defended its UEFA Futsal Champions League crown, securing its dominance for another year by defeating Barcelona in the second-ever all-Spanish final. Within just 18 months, the team from Mallorca has firmly established itself among the elite of European futsal, clinching consecutive continental titles and joining the ranks of prestigious clubs such as Playas de Castellón, Sporting de Portugal, and Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty. With this achievement, Palma Futsal now ranks third in terms of European trophies, trailing only Movistar Inter, five-time champions, and Barcelona, four-time champions.

The team’s coach, Antonio Vadillo, expressed his elation and pride, emphasizing the incredible accomplishment of winning back-to-back titles. Vadillo highlighted the difficulty of maintaining such a high level of play, particularly against formidable opponents like Barcelona, and credited his players for their exceptional performance in the final. He underscored the historic significance of their achievement, noting that only two other clubs had previously accomplished such a feat.
