Brazilian Winger Fabinho Makes Move to Nagoya Oceans

Fabio Junior De Lima, known as Fabinho, is making a move to Japan to join Nagoya Oceans, the reigning champion of the Japanese F-League. This transfer comes after an agreement between Nagoya Oceans and Osasuna Magna. With Osasuna Magna receiving a substantial financial sum for releasing the Brazilian winger, who had one year left on his contract. Fabinho’s departure coincides with that of the injured Jonathan Linhares from Jimbee Cartagena on June 30th.

The club in Irurtzun emphasized that the deal benefits all parties involved. Fabinho’s signing, at the request of Nagoya Oceans’ coach Imanol Arregui, who has known him since his arrival in Spain four seasons ago. Leads to the departure of Brazilian center Guilhermão, who has an offer from Benfica.

the move

Fabinho, aged 24, arrived in Pamplona in 2020 as a promising Brazilian futsal talent from Marreco. He has since become one of the standout players in the First Division. Known for his distinct style, speed, and skill, despite not being a prolific scorer. His departure from Osasuna Magna comes at a time when the team secured another year of First Division status after Real Betis’ defeat against Viña Albali Valdepeñas.

Fabinho bid farewell to Osasuna Magna through a video on social media, expressing gratitude for his time at the club and acknowledging the upcoming challenge of moving to Japan. He highlighted the importance of coach Imanol Arregui in his decision-making process.

Osasuna Magna’s coach, Miguel Hernández, sees Fabinho’s departure as part of the natural progression of players seeking more ambitious opportunities. With the team securing their position in the First Division for another year, Hernández sees this as a chance for other players to step up.

Overall, the transfer represents a significant move for Fabinho and a new chapter in his career, while also benefiting both clubs involved in the deal.
