HisWattson Responds to ImperialHal’s Call for Competitive Ban

Apex Legends luminary Jacob ‘HisWattson’ McMillin has responded to Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen’s suggestion that he should be excluded from competitive teams after departing from FURIA’s roster.

As two prominent figures in Apex Legends, HisWattson and ImperialHal have frequently clashed, both in-game and on social media, with tensions running high on occasion.

Despite maintaining a top position in the Apex rankings, HisWattson has chosen to step away from competitive play, leaving FURIA’s lineup. McMillin expressed dissatisfaction with the competitive atmosphere, admitting that he lacked passion during certain matches.

“I couldn’t muster the enthusiasm; thankfully, those matches weren’t broadcasted, because I was utterly miserable throughout,” he revealed, confessing to making subpar decisions and deliberately underperforming in matches to expedite his departure from the event in Raleigh, North Carolina.

ImperialHal chimed in on his rival’s decision to move on, suggesting that HisWattson should be excluded from future teams. “I appreciate his candor, but his mindset is just so detrimental. So detrimental. If I were his teammate, no offense to Wattson, but he should be barred,” remarked the TSM star, jesting about the notion of blacklisting HisWattson.

The former FURIA player didn’t contest the “extreme” proposal. “Hal suggested I be permanently banned from competitive Apex. That’s quite something. Please, just ban me. That way, I won’t even entertain the thought of returning,” he responded. “Honestly, go ahead, and I won’t even entertain the idea.”

HisWattson noted that he feels more comfortable playing Ranked matches in Apex, as he must consistently perform to maintain his top position.

“I have a purpose to get up because, yeah, when I played competitively, I wouldn’t play in the morning since we had matches later in the day,” he elaborated. “So, yeah, I would just idle away my time.”
