The Play-In stage of EMEA Masters Spring 2024 wrapped up on April 17th, marking a notable improvement from the previous year’s tournament. The outstanding performances by Gentle Mates, coupled with Gotaga’s community casting, propelled all metrics to surge by over 30%.

Among the 16 competing teams, only four secured spots in the group stage. Notably, both Nigma Galaxy MENA and Geekay Esports from the Arabian League advanced, alongside Boostgate Esports and Gentle Mates representing TCL and LFL, respectively.

EMEA Masters Spring 2024 witnessed a remarkable increase in audience engagement compared to its predecessor. During the Play-In stages, total hours watched soared by 36%, peak concurrent viewership spiked by 30.5%, and average viewership surged by 38%.

Gotaga’s community casting notably boosted the popularity of matches featuring Gentle Mates, with their showdown against Entropiq becoming one of the top 5 most-watched encounters, drawing over 67,100 concurrent viewers, with a significant portion tuning in through the French streamer’s channel.

The impact of Gotaga’s community casting was particularly evident in the French-speaking community, with peak viewership on French streams doubling compared to the previous year, and the share of French-language content in total hours watched witnessing a notable increase.
