Sentinels Triumph Over 100 Thieves Despite Challenges

Sentinels dealt 100 Thieves a crushing blow despite enduring a week without practice and missing their in-game leader. Following their triumph at Masters Madrid, Sentinels’ in-game leader, Johnqt, faced visa issues that stranded him in Europe.

Uncertainty loomed over whether Johnqt would arrive in time for their initial match against 100 Thieves. However, less than 18 hours before kickoff, Sentinels announced his arrival in the US.

“The Hero returns. JohnQT has landed in LA and will be playing in our opening game,” Sentinels declared on X the night preceding the match.

In a subsequent tweet after their 13-11 victory in the first map, Sentinels disclosed that they hadn’t practiced prior to facing their long-standing rivals, 100 Thieves.

“No practice, no sleep, no problem. We win icebox,” Sentinels tweeted via X.

Throughout their rivalry, 100 Thieves have failed to assert themselves as the superior opponent. With Sentinels’ recent triumph, the team has now surpassed 600 days since their last defeat against them.

Sentinels’ upcoming challenge will be against Levithan on April 13, who suffered a loss to Cloud9, starting 0-1. Meanwhile, 100 Thieves remain winless in the VCT. A 0-3 start could signal trouble within the 100 Thieves camp, potentially leading to a roster adjustment.
