Javier Lozano, president of the National Futsal League, has penned a scathing letter directed at Pedro Rocha, the RFEF Manager, criticizing his conduct in office and the mishandling of the Federation’s electoral process. Lozano, who previously clashed with Rocha during Rubiales’ tenure, now contemplates entering the Federation’s elections alongside 15 other potential candidates.
In a LinkedIn article, Lozano levies severe accusations against Rocha, particularly regarding his salary of €675,000. He insists Rocha should increase the wages of two key associates and renew the coach, despite lacking the authority to do so. Lozano condemns Rocha for mirroring Rubiales’ influence, stating, “The detrimental legacy of Rubialism persists, infecting and spreading its malignancy.”
Although Lozano admits to once having a positive rapport with Rocha, he now condemns Rocha’s management role within the RFEF, labeling it as embarrassing for a country and sport striving for excellence. Lozano laments the lack of institutional accountability following the TAD’s ruling on electoral regulations, emphasizing the contrast between serving the institution and serving personal interests.
Lozano criticizes Rocha’s failure to fulfill promises and legal obligations, alleging that Rocha prioritizes personal gain over the institution’s integrity. He questions Rocha’s ethical standing, as evidenced by unauthorized decisions and excessive hiring within the RFEF.
While acknowledging human fallibility in public office, Lozano stresses the importance of coherence and integrity. He concludes by urging for exemplary leadership and accountability, expressing hope for Rocha to rectify his actions.
