Jorge Braz calls Bruno Pinto to the team’s work

Last-minute changes were made to Jorge Braz’s squad for the friendly matches against Japan. The national team convened in Matosinhos on Monday, with the notable inclusion of Bruno Pinto.

Bruno Pinto, the winger from Leões de Porto Salvo, was called up to replace Tiago Brito, who had to withdraw due to a foot injury, as stated in the official announcement from the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

Despite Brito’s unfortunate situation, this unexpected development paved the way for Bruno Pinto’s debut. A 30-year-old winger and under-21 international, he is making his first appearance in the Portuguese national team squad and is expected to earn his first international caps in the upcoming double clash against Japan. Portugal is scheduled to face Japan on the 3rd and 5th of February at the Matosinhos Sports and Congress Center, in preparation for the 2024 World Championship.
