From January 13 to 18, seven regional qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 22 took place. While Southeast Asian viewers demonstrated the most significant engagement with the broadcasts, top Russian and English-speaking community casters provided limited coverage of the matches.
The highest peak online viewership among all regional qualifiers was attained by Aurora and Team Darleng from Southeast Asia, with their match attracting over 113.8K Peak Viewers. This region also led in average viewership (45.9K) and total Hours Watched (1.5M). Western and Eastern Europe secured the second and third positions in all metrics, trailing the leader but achieving figures close to each other.
It’s important to note that statistics from Chinese live-streaming platforms are not directly comparable with other data, and therefore, these platforms are not included in our statistics. However, viewership of Chinese-language broadcasts on other platforms is accounted for.

Southeast Asia exhibited a robust audience reach, thanks to broadcasts from top players like Gabbi and Kuku, who also participated in the qualifiers. The channel KuyaNic, leading in Tagalog-language broadcasts (Philippines), made a significant contribution. Interestingly, English-language broadcasts in Southeast Asia garnered more Peak Viewers than similar broadcasts in other regions, including North America and Western Europe. Southeast Asia also led in viewership on YouTube among all regions.

Regarding other languages, Spanish accounted for over 75% of total viewing hours in South America. Russian dominated in Eastern Europe (68%) and nearly matched English in audience reach in Western Europe (40%). Ukrainian entered the top three languages in the qualifiers for Eastern Europe (12%) and North America (5%).
Official studio channels attracted the largest audience in the regional qualifiers. The Russian-language channel dota2_paragon_ru emerged as the leader in peak online viewership, drawing over 41.1K Peak Viewers. Among community casters, Gabbi, a Filipino player from Blacklist International, stood out as a leader, casting in English and gathering over 22K Peak Viewers.
Notably, most top Dota 2 community casters opted not to cover the regional qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 22. Nix did not cover matches, not even in Eastern Europe, and NS and Gorgc showed only a couple of matches. The highest audience reach for European qualifiers came from studios, while in Southeast Asia, community casters dominated.
